Good things are happening. =0) Yay!
Currently have a part-time substitute job. I even have an official ID badge!
Today I interviewed with a marketing company and they have invited me back for a follow up interview later this week. By the end of the interview I’ll know if they want to hire me on full-time. Wish me luck!
Oooo… almost 2 months and Rob finally decided to text me today. I guess I wasn’t forgotten. Hmmm…. definitely not getting my hopes up, but it still is a little exciting.

I tried googling myself and found my old myspace page. Without having to delete the whole thing I wanted to make settings more private and the stupid site WOULD NOT save anything! So after I read my old blogs, bye bye stupid myspace.
Again I’ve managed to figure out how to kill a few hours before doing what I needed to do! Nice job self. Tomorrow is a busy day as it is and it’s already 1am.

ps: I think I got hit on in the gym for the first time today. I’ve always wondered what it would be like in the gym and well… it was kinda creepy. It’s as if he thought we were in a club. I wonder how many responses guys get from that approach because I always ignore, walk away quickly, and don’t make eye contact. Plus I was hurrying to a class.

I met someone new yesterday and they seriously reminded me why I have been being more selective about events/outings I attend. Everyone new always wants to know what I do, why I’m not doing something else, and what it is I want to do. —Fucking ask me something else! How do u know so-and-so? Have you seen [insert new movie/book/headline news]? My sign, SOMETHING!
So this particular person graduated last week and like everyone else, asked me questions about my education and economic situation. I answered being as truthful and vague as possible, but to EVERY terrible truth I told her about my misfortunes over the past year she would reply, “awww Oooohhh I’m sorry to hear that…..” Every EFFING time!! And even a few times when she wanted to start up another round of questions. (So annoying.) After awhile I had no idea how to respond to her. I did tell her, that there is a harsh reality after graduating if you don’t already have something lined up. In a way just trying to scare her, because she was bothering me.
Up until the last few weeks I didn’t mind people asking me questions, in fact it helped me a little bit, but now I am so over it. Partly I guess she’s given me another boost of motivation…. but I seriously didn’t need her pity apologies. It’s not like it was her fucking fault. It really reminds me that there are a WHOLE lot more interesting things you can learn from a new person than their resume. Even if you are trying to network….
ps: I’ll make an effort to say “sorry” less in situations not necessarily my fault.

I have to confess. I was a bum today. I did apply for 1 job and make a decision to work on efforts toward grad school, but other than that every sense of the being…. I was a bum. I ate 2 meals, many hours apart. Told my workout buddy that I’d go tomorrow and slept…. slept in till late morning and then took a nap a few hours later. Terrible. Hmmm I did shower though, not so bad… hahhhhh
Sandy Doughnut?
While waiting for my phone to hopefully restore itself I thought I’d do a little update: Today’s plan to make some phone calls and file an application was a bust… I ended up spending the day with my neighbor and his 4yr old twin cousins visiting from Mexico City. Of course they mostly speak Spanish and all I’ve got is “Hola,” “azul,” & “gato” in my easy-access-Spanish-word-bank! Oh well luckily for me they understand my Engrish and they are Super Cute! =0)
**The pic is Maya eating a chocolate doughnut from our favorite local shop. We were at the beach and well of course there’s SAND everywhere. I cringed at the idea of her eating a sandy doughnut, and well being the princess that she is… she knew well enough not to finish that half. However; Paul still decided to finish it for her. uhhh… yeah… gross.
In other news… steps closer to being ready for my first substitute job. Of course at this rate, I prob won’t have an opportunity till next school year. Hopefully I’ll have some regular cash flow by then. Job by summer or BUST!
This year’s summer city for expedition will have to be within San Diego county. (I usually explore a new city every summer.) Great… My first full-summer in SD. My version of a cherry on-top of, “not the way I envisioned my life after college.” If I am REALLY lucky maybe I’ll fly out of town for an interview or two? That sounds like a good idea to put out into the universe….. ;0) positive thinking! Yaaaayyyyy!!!
